House Furniture Vocabulary: Luchazi to English Here is a list of common house features in Luchazi and their meaning in English: Mesa (loanword from Portuguese) = table or a dining table at which several people can sit together to eat. Zimesa (plural) = tables. Citumamo = chair. Vitumamo (plural) =chairs. Cituamo (loanword from Chokwe/Luvale) = chair. (Some Luchazi communities use Cituamo). Citumamo ca Kayongo = wooden stool. Citumamo ca maliya Citonta = stool. Mupando = lazy man's chair. Mukanamo (loanword from Luvale) = lazy man's chair. (Some Luchazi communities use Mukanamo when referring to lazy man's chair). Cipoya = a litter or sedan chair or palanquin; a structure used to transport a sick person or a masked dancer especially Lipumpu, consisting of a seat and carried on two horizontal poles by four or six bearers.
