Notes on the Noun Classes

In Luchazi birds take the pronouns and often the alliterative concord of the following noun classes:
  • Class 1 (Mu- Va): Examples: Ntento, pl. Vantento, 
  • Class 4 (Li- Ma): Examples: Lipato, pl. Mapato: Livembe, pl. Mavembe;
A blogger, lover of life and creative thinker: a KaLuchazi ka zindungu; born from his mother with the lightning bolt. Went to school of life with the alligator & learnt the lessons of the crocodile. He takes every chance to document traditions, customs, culture of the Luchazi people. His great grandfather, Muyemba from the Nama clan came in with thunder and got out with thunder. And his great grandmother, Mpulu from the Chungu clan was conceived in the clouds with thunder.

Luchazi (Lucazi, antonym: Chiluchazi ) is a Bantu language of Angola , Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia and Zambia .  The language belongs to Ciokwe-Luchazi (K.13) class of the Niger-Congo languages (Language code: ISO 639-3 lch). Luchazi is the principal language of the Ngangela  Group. Ngangela is a term coined by the Kimbundu traders and missionaries in 18th century to describe the tribes occupying the area of eastern-central Angola. Ngangela simply means people of the east who have a common word 'Nga' in their languages.
